Piping is a narrow corded trim sewn into seams to finish and define the edges of shoe uppers and garments. In Italian it is also called “profilo” or “coda di topo”. Aravec produces piping on contract to specification, in many colours and materials, including reflective and water-repellent versions.
Piping
Piping is a trim with a rounded section that completes and outlines edges. In footwear it defines and finishes the lines of the upper; in apparel it highlights seams, pockets, collars and hems and can make the garment more visible.
We produce it on contract for shoe factories, upper makers and apparel companies, in a wide range of colours and materials. It is also available in reflective, water-repellent and PFAS-free finish versions: our quotation always states the material and treatment the feature refers to. Need it cut to length?
